Doctor Faustus is a play by Christopher Marlowe, who was born in the very poor family, in Germany. In the introduction of the play Chorus (A group of singers, who sings together for the purpose of foreshadowing about the coming events or to comment upon the characters) introduces the Faustus, through which we learn about the Faustus lust for knowledge. For higher knowledge he goes to the Wittenberg, where he gets education about the Theology (about religions) & got the Ph.D degree in Theology. Within a short period, he becomes on of the best scholar of the society, so his intelligence & capability make him too prideful.  So his lust for knowledge & power, make his desire too necessary to get knowledge about something, which make him a stronger person of the world. So he starts getting knowledge about the Black Magic, which inevitably leads to his downfall. Here its become clear that, nature has certain rules, if anything go against the rule or challenge the nature then he will surely face the music.
